  1. It does seem so, the onslaught continues, although I am surprised he was unprepared for her, he normally plays a game of many levels, perhaps this is a long term ploy but I doubt it….

  2. Ok I can see him falling for it as he is in love with zatanna however his riding of the wave should give him heads up on stuff like this. He is know. As being very lucky so I doubt she will kill him in this way but I do believe he may have just be nutralized as threat at least for now.If he gets killed it will be a slap in the face to what he has faced which includes the Devil himself and God. If he dies so be it but explain how she nutralizes him not just oh your dead now.

    1. Last page first panel. Zatanna’s enchantment was simple, but was enough to use Constantine love for her as a crack in his plan. “Kool ta em nhoj enitnatsnoc dna riapsed” “Look at me John Constantine and despair”

  3. this is perfect this is exactly what I wanted to happen not succeeding to save someone because of love bulshit of all the comics I have read yours is the most unique and special

    keep up the good work

  4. Hey Black Pharaoh and everybody else, next page I am going to tell you guys my three plans to beat this guy, and possibly a fourth, and trust me you will be surprised, and not to boast but I think even Batman would be impressed, I won’t tell you guys what they are but I will tell you my personal motto “Prepare for every possible outcome, and possible Contingency, and it’s better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it”. Trust me you won’t be disappointed.

  5. If it were anyone else he’d be kicking ass, but Zatanna has always had a little ace up her sleeve when it comes to Constantine. And it’s not just that he’s in love with her…he’s had a bunch of humans and otherwise he’s been in love with. Zatanna, he actually trusts her, that is the BIG one for him. Guess maybe we can just hope he can get the info that the souls can be saved to someone before he ends.

  6. The honest way I think the story should go?

The Master gets killed (maybe revived later, whatevs, get him out of the scene).

Key thing: nightgaunts don’t get back to normal. Groups of them start fighting over the master’s remaining power or whatever. Nightgaunt against nightgaunt, heroes who think of rescuing them vs those who just wanna kill them.

That way you can escape the dead end you wrote yourself into; people will cheer for different groups of corrupted and non corrupted heros and heroines fighting each other, instead of good vs bad.
