Ok this one is a very obscure reference. Back in 1999 there was a story published in the Legion of Superheroes tittles and it was called Legion of the Damned, where an alien race assaulted earth turning most of the Legionnaires into hunting machines. It was very similar to the Star Trek’s Borgs.
